Hello all, has anyone got any idea's about what Brushless motors / Speed Controllers and Lipo Batteries you should be using for 29-30mm Jet units?
I was going to try the Feiago 580 XL , 240 amp speedy and 11.1v 4000Mah 40c Lipos,  with past experience with Brushed motors there seems to be an awful lot of amps needed for the jet units and Torque.
 Any Idea's  Smiley Smiley

Direct drive to much RPM and lack of torque.
One of the planetary reduction gear boxs they use on LARGE scale aircraft / powered gliders would be a thought  Huh 3 to 1 would net 15K or so at pump.

Why don't you look at out runner motors?
They will give you plenty of torque.

The Z4045-10 weighs the same but with an 8s lipo will run at 9,500rpm. The 40-60Amp max efficient current would give a power range of 1000-1800W

What you really need to do is find out the power requirements for your 29-30mm jet at a certain rpm. Then you can work out which motor will do the job
