Failing that even 2 Pak paint??? once baked off it is very heat tolerant.
Unless someone else has some better products

Hi pete, what about DURATECH, it is a high build polyerothane primer, you can sand it , polish it. Is a little pricey though, the last batch i bought was $200AUD for 4 litres.

I machined out the Vacumn forming plug this weekend.
Here are some CNC movies. About 10 mb each http://www.modeljetboat.com/movies/roughing_plug.mp4 http://www.modeljetboat.com/movies/finishing_plug.mp4 I was quite happy with the finish on the MDF compared with the finish I had on my tunnel hull plug a few years back. I don't know if it was due a different density in the MDF or using 9,000 rpm instead of 6,000 for the spindle speed. Does anyone have any idea of what to use to seal the MDF. It has to be able to soak in easily, go quite and sand off nicely. It would also need to withstand 200 hot plastic for a short time. I was thinking of something like thinned down polyurathane but don't know if it will be any good. Peter |

so a stock RCMK Evo with pipe would work fine then?? and it is not that much.when the boat gets here I will have to see where they set the CG and look at where it is all going to go. Motor will have to come back I would think. my boat I did about 15 years ago for Bandit boats was close together. Yes a stock evo has plenty of ponies for a squirt using pumps built around Zenoah type power plants.having 1/2 again more HP with the RCMK evo than a stock g260 .... your squirting MUCH harder |

You want a good torquey engine. I run a Zen with a modified 28.5cc head, the RCMK 26cc has been used a lot too. Agree, my RCMK Evo top end actually has more power than hull needs, not very often or for very long you can run WOT anyways. |

Job Done. I just need to do a carb cover. I'm thinking of making a 1/2 cover in front of the engine & down the side over the carb & sticking a couple of driver figures up front.

OK, I borrowed a tungsten reeming bit for the dremel off a friend to elongate the holes in the stringers and groove the engine mount so the push rods won't rub against them once they are lifted. I'm planning on having a go tonight at getting it all lined up. After that I'll need to get onto a carb cover.
